August 25th, 2009 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Courtney and John wedding at Clos LaChance |
This last Saturday August 22nd, Courtney and John got married at my favorite venue, Clos LaChance. |
cute, thanks for playing around Courtney, even if it's just 30 minutes till your wedding! :) |
impossible to get 10 bridesmaids ready on time, but if you assume that, you can still be on it and get some great stuff. . . |
a bridal gang like that sure is impressive though. |

Really? A rainbow showed up after their ceremony? Unbelievable, I'm super jealous. |
My Erika and I are trying to book Clos LaChance for our wedding next year, and this wedding definitely has reminded me why. I'm super excited! |
Why the red cup shot? I think they like to party. :) |
I can't think of a nicer couple to have a rainbow bless their day for. Congratulations Courtney and John! |

August 24th, 2009 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Gomez and Covarrubias Family portraits |
6 months ago, when we first met Nolan, he could hardly sit up by himself without falling over. Now look at him. :) |
Jenny and Eugene have been great to work with and so nice with online reviews and referrals, I love the relationships I get to develop with my clients! |

In 2007 I first shot the Covarrubias family. That was back when there was only Melissa and Pete and their two boys, Jordan and Elijah. |
and without further ado, I would like to introduce brother number 3, Mateo Covarrubias! :) |
We'll have to get baby Mateo a jersey for our next session. Looks like we have a football family. CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE SLIDESHOW FROM THIS SESSION |

August 14th, 2009 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Julie and Serghio at Hahns Fahden Calistoga |
I had a great time with Julie and Serghio at their engagement session, and their Calistoga winery wedding at Hahns Fahden was even funner. :) |
My vote for cutest flower girls of the year. This was Daphne on the left and Naomi on the right. They came with their parents all the way from Greece, and they were super excited for their duties ALL DAY. :) |

How beautiful is Hahns Fahden as a ceremony site?! Tucked between Santa Rosa and Calistoga, it has a little pond, a cave reception area, and beautiful flowers everywhere. |
Nice moment Serghio. |
How unique to have dinner in a wine cave, by candlelight. |
"Hi James, Thanks so much for shooting our wedding on Friday! We received nothing but compliments on your humor and professionalism. Everyone loved you! I thought you'd enjoy the attached picture. It was taken by one of Serghio's nieces, the oldest flower girl. Take care, Julie" |
Thanks Julie and Serghio! I loved being at your wedding so much, you two really made it special. :) Cheers, Gan Bei!, and Opa! |

August 6th, 2009 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Mercy and Noah Santa Cruz Elks Lodge wedding |
Mercy and Noah's wedding was special. There was a little of everything: stylish outfits, vintage cars, wardrobe malfunctions, retro bars. . . Here's a nice moment from the beginning. . . |
What a good look Noah! |

If the bridal party is cool, than a lot of great moments can come together. It was cute, Noah's sister was his "Best Woman", she's there posing with the umbrella in back. |
This image is all Mercy. . . |
I love the blonde bridesmaid in the middle. She really commited to this shot and the look we were after. (It looks like she's about to slide off the thing) :) |
I honestly dont know if the girls or guys rocked the car better. Either way, it was a great prop. |
Right! Do you see how Mercy and Noah played so good together. Y'all did sooo great! So I didnt explain the wardrobe malfunction part. But Mercy's wedding dress zipper broke about an hour and half before the ceremony, and it took rearranging the shooting times we scheduled, sewing Mercy into her dress semi-permanently, and a lot of hustle to even get to the wedding site. whew! It was touch and go there for a second. :) Anyways, eveything turned out beautiful, and Mercy's dress was beautiful, and so there. |
Awesome. Isnt this picture just meant to be in black and white? This wedding was super unique Mercy and Noah, I really enjoyed myself and I'm super proud of you two. Congratulations guys! |
