This last Saturday at the new Las Positas Winery in Livermore, Lisa brought it! :)

Warm weather with a slightly cool breeze, helpful and fun bridesmaids, and a happy bride. Perfect.

Lisa's father was mostly silent but you could also tell he was proud and happy, it was sweet.

This place used to be called Deer Ridge winery but is now Las Positas. Nice venue, the catering was amazing (tr3s catering I believe).

This doesn't look posed at all. Ha!

This was a particularly good jumping shot day.

The breeze was perfect and on our side the whole day. I swear it was always blowing the veil just right.

I love the out of focus backlit treebranches. And again that veil was rockin!

Congrats Lisa and Makibi! I'm a little jealous, as I write this they are in Hawaii (clear and 80 degrees), and I'm in S.F. (raining and cold up in here!). Enjoy guys!

It is always nice to have repeat customers. Not that Erin was married before and I shot that wedding too. :) But I photographed her sister's wedding 4 years ago. It was cute because Megan and Kevin are now pregnant and I love catching up with past clients!

Something about after the ceremony, everyone relaxes a little and starts having more fun. :)

The Olympic Club banquet rooms are super nice and this atrium area for the dancing is beautiful. (Rory's gonna take on Tiger here next year at the US Open. Nice!)

Pretty water lilies in the pond at the De Young Museum.

This is Irina and Carlos. They are getting married later this year at the Harvest Inn in Napa. I met them at the De Young museum in Golden Gate Park for their engagement session.

I still dont know where this was in Golden Gate Park because I just followed them there but there is a neat architectural piece next to a lake and it's super cute. . .

Looking good! We'll see more of them in September.

Yes! Jennifer and Jaron have a baby boy named Theo.

We first met them in the beginning of this year when I did a maternity session for them in at the Japanese Tea Garden.

We went to Holly park in the Bernal Heights district and captured this image.

I look forward to watching Theo and perhaps Jennifer and Jaron's family grow! Congratulations guys.

One thing I have learned: You know you are in New Mexico when there are dried red chiles hanging on the walls.

And here is the lucky groom Matt. Great guy, at one point during the reception he insisted I have a drink. My type of client! jk :)

They tied the knot last Saturday in Aptos at the Four Square Church.

This is a special place for me because my father used to attend this church and many of the people at this wedding knew him. I think it looked great this day.

Just like Casey and James a few posts above, Naomi and Chris are getting married at the Aptos Four Square Church near Santa Cruz.

I met up with them at a fenced off field they love to trespass and hike.

Besides breaking and entering, Naomi and Chris also love reading. :)

I had so much fun with them, it is nice to go to new locations and be with couples that have a lot of ideas to play around with.

The photos are amazing, wow! They are actually more than what we hoped for. The quality and color are great, you have such a good eye, and naomi and I are so excited for you to be taking pictures on the wedding day.

We've watched the slideshow several times (I must admit, I shed some tears) and my mom has already ordered a bunch of the photos. I havent downloaded the folders yet, but I'll be doing that tomorrow.

Our old Laurel Heights buddy's are getting married at the SF Ritz Carlton in October.

They love wine country as well as each other, and the restored Benz has sentimental value for Shawn. This picture captures them all. :)

Kelly and David got married this last Saturday May 1st. Here they are taking off to Santa Clara Mission Church.

It was originally built in the 1700's and definitely has a beautiful gothic feel.

One of my favorite shots to capture -the bride and groom after the ceremony walking out of the church for the first time.

It was a beautiful day and Kelly and David's intimate group of friends and family were fun and great to work with.

Before heading to the reception, we decided to go to The Palace of Fine Arts for pictures like this awesome one here. :)

Their reception was in the Crystal Ballroom of the Marine's Memorial Hotel. My first time taking pictures there and it totally exceeded my expectations for how nice it looked. Kelly had a Breakfast at Tiffany's theme going on and it looked great. You may remember this couple from their engagement session a few months ago, she likes Breakfast at Tiffany's, of that I have no doubt. :)

This is Nicole and Luke and last wek we shot their engagement session.

I love it when clients have special places they want to take pictures at, it get's me in new locations and reminds me about oldy but goody spots. Luke proposed to Nicole on this pier and so it was the perfect place for us to meet and take some pictures.

We'll see Nicole and Luke again later in December when they get married in SF.

Nari and Chris got married this last Saturday April 16th at the Crystal Springs Golf Course gazebo. Here is Nari making her walk down the aisle.

Jacqueline and Nick live in San Diego but will be getting married here in the Bay Area later this year. I happened to be on assignment in San Diego last week and so we were able to hook up for a super fun and unexpected engagement session. (All on someone else's travel dime) Nice! :)

All the while it was raining here in the Bay, San Diego was beautiful and warm. Jackie told me to meet them at Balboa Park and for good reason, what a beautiful place.

There were so many picturesque opportunities around every corner. Apparently the Balboa Park area was initially meant just as an exhibition space for the world's fair earlier in the last century. The people of San Diego loved it so that they kept restoring and improving it. It really is like a blending of Golden Gate Park, the Palace of Fine Arts and Legion of Honor all in one.

I could not have asked for a better couple to capture Balboa Park with. Did I mentioned that they are a super cute and fun? My wife and I have a picture of ourselves similar to this and I totally cherish it.

Another bonus of working in San Diego was that I got to meet up with my friend Vu for a little impromptu catch up and photo session.

It's amazing to me to see the families of my best friends keep growing. Here is Michelle with her beautiful daughters Jasmine and Sapphire.

Vu hated that Michelle and I tricked him into a portrait session, but come on!, how much will these images mean when Jasmine is graduating college and stuff?

If SF ever gets too cold for me, I now know there is San Diego.

Don't get me wrong, the Bay is still home. And Lisa and Makibi would agree with me. They are getting married at Deer Ridge winery in Livermore later this year.

I've shot a good number of couples in this hallway at Legion of Honor, but this is one of my favorites.

And I was pleasantly surprized to find out that The Palace of Fine Arts renovation is complete! The new landscaping is great and I'm so glad to have this area available again.

2011 is looking to be a great comback year for my photography business. I try to count my blessings everyday and I am truly grateful for the talent I have and the way I get to share it with families and friends. To you reading this thank you, I hope you enjoy some of the work and your support is appreciated!

People love us on Yelp and I love Yelp because it introduces me to wonderful people like Jennifer and Jaron (say like "you're on"). Jennifer is a little preggers and wanted a maternity session. :)

They were not beach people and so I suggested the Japanese Tea Garden for it's landscape and beautiful architecture.

Nari and Chris are getting married this April 16th at Crystal Springs Golf Course. They love baseball and the Giants in particular so we had an idea. . .

So we went to AT&T park thinking we would just get some nice images around the perimeter. Lucky for us we found out that they allow families to go inside for free to play with the Coke Bottle slide etc. So we were able to sneak these shots while in the empty stadium. Fun right?

They met in college and if I am remembering correctly their dorm rooms were across the hall from one another. Scandalous! J/K :)
